According to legend, ladybirds or ladybugs are lucky charms. In parts of Germany, tradition says that a persons wish is granted if a ladybird lands on them while in Italy, it is said by some that if a ladybird flies into a bedroom, it is considered good luck. In Belgium a ladybird crawling across a girl's hand means she will get married within the year. So cheers to you all and a lucky new year ahead. :)
