Weaving a History

The Philippine Flag was made in Hongkong by Mrs. Marcela de Agoncillo, wife of Don Felipe Agoncillo and she sewed it with the help of her daughter Lorenza and Mrs. Josefina Herbosa de Natividad, a niece of Dr. Jose Rizal. The initial flag was made of silk and it was raised at Kawit, Cavite on 12 June 1898.
