My Favorite Mathematician 

First, forgive me from this deviation from our usual photos of Manila because of a fairly interesting occasion...

Today is the birthday of my favorite Mathematician, MC Escher. You can probably see the tribute that Google made for him on his birthday (although this will disappear in the proceeding days).

Anyway, to see an example of one of MC Escher's works, you can see a model that I did on my site a while back. It's the little green, brown and blue thing on the right side of the picture.

MC Escher is famous for his repeating polygonal patterns which manifest in his artworks and sculptures. He has tons of sketches and sculptures on a site about him. Do check it out and find out some great surrealist artworks.
