In this book by Alexander McCall Smith, Isabel Dalhousie is intent as intent in satisfying her curiosity about an "accident" she witnessed in happenstance. Add meanderings about Philosophy, intrigue and dashes of suspense to this central plot and you get "The Sunday Philosophy Club" which I found it about as interesting as a lecture on Platonic epistemology on a searing summer afternoon. Perhaps it wasn't the best Alexander Smith novel for me to start with.
