Two programmers from California have succesfully installed Windows XP on a Mac. The two Californian's responded to a challenge from Colin Nederkoorn of Houston, Texas in an online contest. Colin Nederkoon opened a challenged around January for anyone who can find a way to boot an Intel Mac with either Mac OS X or Windows XP. He collected donations for the prize money which accounted to around US$ 14,000. Nerderkoorn has posted the ingenious solution which passed the architectural difference caused by the EFI (Extensible Firmware Interface) of Mac systems.
