Across the Universe was shown on limited release in Trinoma and Greenbelt recently and I was simply blown away by the movie. I never knew that so much material can come out of my favorite Beatles tracks but this movie gave life to all those songs I love. Despite the raves, I have to agree with a friend of mine who recently reviewed the movie as it was plain to see the difficulty of stitching such a large and diverse characters into such a short time. Where the movie was rich in artful screenplay and wonderful song, depth was reduced with the characters. Anyway, if you've missed it from either of the Ayala malls, you may have to wait for it on DVD before you can see this masterpiece.
