The public market at Lower Bicutan in Taguig was on fire this morning. Fire broke out around 5am, this picture was taken around 6am and no firefighters were in sight.

oh my! are there room for fire trucks to enter at least?

  • http://mymanila.net Peter

Plenty of room actually. I’m just not sure if nobody called them (there’s a fire station less than 3 km away) or if they’re taking some time to get here.

Some scene you got there. I hope nobody got hurt.

You’ve been visiting my website for some time now… thanks! :-) I would like to add you in one of my links… if it’s ok.

I live in California and I was visiting the Philippines last July and actually witnessed this fire. Sad. The first fire truck did not even carry water and the second truck didn’t have a motor to distribute the water by. Most of the store owners lost everything. The stories behind this fire is far more heartbreaking than the pictures.
