UP Oblation
With arms wide open
As the UP Oblation statue looks to the sky, I wonder about the fate of our nation. A country so unaware of its own problems that it's willing to embrace another election with the same faceless crowd that will eventually bring down whomever they elected in another 'peaceful' revolution? Or will the gods look lightly on us this time? Prepare your American visas just in case.

I just hope it’s not going to be as bad as it seems.. but you never know *sighs* I’ll be watching the election before I decide if I will or will not go to PH with Andy for summer.

i think the up oblation symbolizes how a up student should sacrifice and offer himself, with all that he has to offer, for the country. trivia: si fpj sr. ang model ng totoong oblation.

To rizza, the original UP Oblation (the one in UP Diliman) was created by National Artist for Sculpture Guillermo Tolentino in 1935. The UP Los Baņos Oblation was casted by Napoleon Abueva - a student of Tolentino. The UPLB Oblation is the 5th repica.
Trivia: The oblation is a symbolic of gesture sacrificial offering of service to the country and humanity.

Ano bang nagagawa ng obation run sa mga students ng UP?Curiuos lang ako kasi almost every ear ata ginagawa ang oblation run sa UP pero I have no idea kung anong nagagawa o effect nito sa students ng UP
