Rainy days are here again and we can't help it but reminisce of songs like "Ulan" by Rivermaya.
Being around for years now, Rivermaya has stayed firmly in the Music scene. The band was originally composed of Bamboo, Rico Blanco, Nathan Azarcon and Mark Escueta. I think right now they are composed of Mike Elgar, Mark Escueta, Japs Sergio & Kakoi Legaspi. Anyway, I guess its best if you remember them from their songs like "Elesi", "Awit Ng Kabataan" and "Himala".
This band has grown up with us and we've grown up with them. Nostalgia surely rings when we hear some of their songs. My "barkada" or childhood friends would be drinking San Mig light to this band and reminiscing of the good old high school days. Cheers!

hi! its me again iola. How you guys doing so far. when you all went here in tarlac NOV 15. I was there watching you guys.You really rock. i even watched your performance again and again in our local cable provider. They aired your show for like a week every 6:30 and i watched it from beginning till end for the whole entire week and now that its done im kindda sad i wont be able to see you guys everyday. so now i just hunt for your videos in mtv phil and myx.sad sad me. and mike if you are reading this i was the one who said HI MIKE! to you and you looked back i was that. Thats my moment i think my world went into slow mo, when that happened. Rico i admire you also, i saw one article in the mag and it said that you barely or do not drink at all and do not smoke nor do drugs. i mean youre such a role model for the youth and i admire you also for that.Youre such a great musician you and the rest of the group. Japs, Kakoi, Mark you are all good too. For me Rivermaya is the greatest band in the world. im crazy for rivermaya… i love those guys(especially RICO BLANCO *my love*) and (of course) their songs… their lyrics are great,rico is a very talented vocalist as well as a writer

I cant help but get mesmerized hearing Mike Elgar’s guitar prowess on “Home”, one of the tracks on the new rivermaya album.
If any of you are familiar with Joe Satriani or Steve Vai, you’ll know what im talking about…

wussup! sabi ni kuya rico, ganito daw baket 214: wala siyang maisip na title, ayaw nya ng corny eh. tas sumingit si nathan sabi niya 214! nag tanong si kuya rico kung ba’t 214, sabi ni nathan feb 14 daw! hehe. tas napansin ni rico na pwede din siya am i real? so 214 na! lingaw din daw sabi nila dahil madaming interpretions ang mga peeps sa title. although they wished they thought of a better title. correct me if i’m wrong, yan ang alam ko na story sa ground.

nakita ko sila magkasama sa s-files, in fairness ha bagay na bagay sila. pag di sila nagkatuluyan, akin nalang si rico.

rico is an enigma. an it guy to be exact. being the main man of rivermaya so fits him.he is totally coooooool.the band has class and a role model for the youth. i can associate them with the black eyed peas magaling ang advocacy malayo sa drugs.galing nila sa jamaican nights sa cebu. when are you coming back? swerte si kc.cy…email me librakid74@yahoo.com
